Planetary Music Movement ("PMM") is on a mission is to transform music’s culture by celebrating and showcasing the artistry of Black musicians and composers.

Groupmuse Foundation commits to amplifying the voices, stories, and music of the Black musical artists of our time. By inviting artists to perform live intimate concerts in non-traditional concert spaces (such as living rooms, backyards through Groupmuse), we seek to bring together hundreds of thousands of musicians and audiences to listen to each other's creativity and individuality.

Groupmuse Foundation’s programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

Curated by cellist Dara Hankins and saxophonist Alfredo Colon, PMM features artists of African descent through monthly concerts. Beyond western classical music, there are many forms of historical music that we celebrate and feature as well.
